FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

Shouldn’t I just use water?

The normal pH range of water is 6.5 to 8.5. A pH less than 7 is considered acidic and a pH more than 7 is considered basic. At times, washing abnormally with too much water can cause pH imbalance. A normal vagina should have a pH between 3.8 and 4.5, which is moderately acidic. Also, water will not thoroughly cleanse this area during and after your menstrual cycle or intercourse.

Do I need soap?

The answer is yes. Everyone needs a healthy routine of cleansing! Bacteria grows everywhere. Soap kills bacteria. As the day continues sweat, fibers from underwear or clothing, and daily secretions from our body affect how much bacteria accumulates on the body.

I have sensitive skin; can I use your products?

My products are formulated to specifically work with sensitive skin without harming the body. Every ingredient has been carefully studied and tested. There is a wide range of sensitive skin types, but our products are formulated to be beneficial to most skin types.

I ordered today. When shall I expect to receive my order?

Under normal circumstances, it takes 2-3 business days to process most orders of products we have in stock and 5 business days to ship our natural products. Please allow 8-10 days from when you place an order for your package to arrive. We appreciate your patience as our products are all natural and our soaps especially need time to dry!

Isn’t the vagina self-cleaning?

Yes and no. A female's vaginal opening, also known as the entry point, has its own self-cleaning abilities that flush out our body’s toxins through discharge and our menstrual cycle.  However, the VULVA,(outer lips), clitoris, and bikini areas are NOT self-cleaning.  That’s what the Kitty Soap was developed to do! Gentle cleansing without harming the vulvar tissue.   Help, not harm those areas of the kitty that frankly, should be cleaned regularly, just like the rest of the body!

If sodium chlorides and other chemical compounds can be found in most feminine hygiene products, isn’t that safe?

Sodium blends and chemical compounds contain many different ranges in pH levels, acidity and sensitivity for the “Kitty”. Too many blends of chemicals found in some feminine hygiene products can be potentially harmful if used too often or for long periods of time. Sulfates, chloride, and dioxides provide little to no benefits for the betterment of the vagina.

Can I use your products while Pregnant/Breastfeeding?

Every mom, and/or person is different! We recommend that you consult with a qualified healthcare practitioner before using any products, particularly if you are pregnant, nursing, or on any other medications.

I have a yeast infection. Will your products help?

Well, they're developed to prevent vaginal infections and irritation. Although they may help treat the burning and irritating symptoms of vaginal infections like yeast infections, they are not a cure. (Symptom Care.) If you suspect you have developed a yeast infection, see your doctor or gynecologist. Over the counter medications like *Monistat* 7-day suppositories can cure most yeast infections, but again, see your doctor. To aid in any uncomfortability click symptom care.
